A fresh coat of paint can add style to any nursery wall decor.

Painting is one of the most inexpensive ways to decorate the nursery walls.  Turquoise is a wonderful color for nursery wall decor and was chosen as Pantone’s color of the year for 2010.  Mix it with chocolate brown or baby pink!  Other fun paint colors are yellow which goes great with blues and greens to create a fun bright look.  You can also pair it with cream or brown to soften it up.  If you want to go with traditional blue for a boy or pink for a girl, try new exciting shades of blue or lilac.

Wallpaper comes in all sorts of cute themes, patterns and colors.  Since wallpaper can be expensive, you should consider how long it will last.  Cowboy or princess wallpaper is cute but you may grow tired of looking at it for years on end.  You may want to consider wallpapering in simpler patterns and neutral colors to allow for future redecorating without redoing the wallpaper.  Otherwise, simply wallpaper only one wall and paint the rest, thereby leaving your options open.
Decorate with wall stickers for nursery decor that are easily removed and changed.

Apply wall stickers for nursery decor that is easily removed and replaced.

Wall stickers are a great room decorating idea for nurseries.  They are removable so you can change them as your baby grows.  They come in all sorts of design and sizes, and you can even find ones that will cover an entire wall.  Wall stickers come with all sorts of baby themes, such as animals, trees, the alphabet and more!

Just wanted to say thanks for doing the leg work on finding the bedding information! I love it and it will be PERFECT in the nursery I'm building. I've been having a really difficult time finding something with the circle theme that's in these colours...and doesn't break the bank. The closest I found previously was something on Land of Nod that isn't even available anymore. You've saved me! :)

These are such great ideas! I love the stencil of the tree with the flowers. Where could I purchase that? Thanks

@Lauren, hi! I love that design too. It's really amazing how much wall art can add so much to a nursery beyond just painting the walls solid colors. It's a little bit of an investment if you want to buy some of the more professional designs. The company who sells that tree design is called Styley Walls. Here's the link to where you can purchase the nursery vinyl wall Decal: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62349817/blooming-cherry-tree-with-butterflies. If you end up buying it, let us know how it looks in your nursery! :-) Good luck!
